Literature Text

If I really had to choose now, I really just don't know.

From food that rots, forget me not's, lavender, and rose.

To pick a path of valor, and melt away the snow.

To kiss upon that blushing cheek, and twice upon that nose.

Or tread on indignation, and let the anger flow.

The hiss of this entangled snake, embodiment of woe.

To respite in spite of hatred, but never let it show.

To not look back, and soon attack my deepest sins and soul.

If I really had to go now, I really just don't know.

If time in life I had a chance, to love and be loved so.

How hand in hand the people dance, smile, prance, and glow.

Their sentiments immortal, and piercing as they sew.

Each treasured thought, now worlds apart, etched deep between my bones.
